概要

Created in 2019 to address labor shortages, this visa allows foreign workers to work in 12 specified industries in Japan.

📋 取得条件

Requirements

Type 1:
- Pass the relevant skills test AND Japanese language proficiency test (N4 or higher)
- OR complete a technical intern training program

Type 2:
- Higher skill level, pass the Type 2 skills test
- No Japanese language requirement, but preferred

Specified industries include: Nursing care, construction, food service, hotels, agriculture, fisheries, food manufacturing, industrial machinery, electronics, automotive, aviation (ground handling), and shipbuilding.

📝 手続き手順

Procedure

  1. Pass the skills test for your target industry
  2. Pass JLPT N4 or higher (Type 1)
  3. Find a Japanese employer in the specified industry
  4. Employer applies for COE
  5. Apply for visa and enter Japan

¥3,000 (single) / ¥6,000 (multiple)
📅 在留期間
Type 1: Up to 5 years total / Type 2: Renewable indefinitely
