For foreign nationals who want to start or manage a business in Japan. Requires establishing a legitimate business entity.

📋 取得条件

Requirements

  • Establish a company in Japan (Kabushiki Kaisha or Godo Kaisha)
  • Office space in Japan (must be a proper business address)
  • Investment of at least ¥5,000,000 OR hire at least 2 full-time employees
  • Clear and viable business plan
  • The applicant must be a manager or director of the company

Note: Working as an employee is not allowed under this visa.

Procedure

  1. Establish a Japanese company (KK or GK)
  2. Secure a business office (virtual offices may not qualify)
  3. Prepare business plan with financial projections
  4. Apply for COE at immigration
  5. Apply for visa at Japanese embassy
  6. Enter Japan and manage the business
